Nintendo is currently performing emergency maintenance on the Nintendo Store.

Emergency Maintenance Underway on the Nintendo Store

The Nintendo Store is a service that allows users to purchase video games and other items via a web browser or smartphone app. It has been announced on the official website and other channels that emergency maintenance has been underway since around 4:00 PM on November 6.

The official website had previously stated that maintenance for the Nintendo Store was scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM on November 6 (this information has since been removed). While it is possible that the maintenance was moved up for some reason, the purpose of the emergency maintenance had not been announced as of the time of writing.

Additionally, maintenance is currently underway for the Nintendo eShop, which is used to purchase games on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 consoles. This maintenance was not emergency-related but was announced in advance; it is scheduled to run from around 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM on November 6.

The scheduled end time for the Nintendo Store emergency maintenance is currently unknown.
