The financial presentation compares the number of wishlist entries for this title 18 weeks prior to release with those of *Persona 3 Reload* and *Metaphor: Refantagio*—titles classified as the company’s benchmark titles—during the same period. While the graph shows that both of those titles had wishlist registrations of around 300,000, this title has reached 2 million, a difference of about six times.

Sega is currently running a promotional campaign targeting fans of the *Persona* series. It is reported that a high percentage of users who added *Persona 4 Revival* to their wish lists have purchased multiple titles in the series, suggesting that the game is drawing intense interest from existing fans.

Sales for the entire *Persona* series are also strong.According to supplementary financial materials, cumulative sales for the series totaled 2.23 million units in the first half of the fiscal year (April–September 2026). This represents an increase of approximately 1.6 times compared to the 1.38 million units sold in the same period last year, meaning the series sold nearly 70 percent of the 3.22 million units sold in the previous full fiscal year in just half a year.

Two older titles, *Persona 5 The Royal* and *Persona 3 Reload*, appear to be performing well.Sales of both titles began to rise in the second quarter of 2026, when information about *Persona 4 Revival* was first revealed, and gained even more momentum this quarter following the announcement of *Persona 6* at “Summer Game Fest 2026.”

Sega attributes this to the announcement of the new title sparking user interest and has held sales events in conjunction with the promotion of the new game. Sales reportedly increased primarily in North America and Asia.

About Half of *STRANGER THAN HEAVEN* Wishlist Entries Come from New Users

The financial results presentation also touched on the performance of RGG Studio’s new title, *STRANGER THAN HEAVEN*. As of September 3, the number of wishlist entries for this title had surpassed 1 million. Compared to the same period 13 weeks prior to release, this figure significantly exceeds that of *Yakuza 8*.

Of particular note is the breakdown of wishlist registrants: reportedly, about half are new users who have never purchased an existing title from RGG Studio. Sega is said to be conducting promotional campaigns aimed at attracting this new audience in addition to its existing fan base, and these figures appear to reflect the success of that strategy.

*Persona 4 Revival* is scheduled for release on February 18, 2027, for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store), PS5, and XBOX Series X|S, and on May 20, 2027, for Nintendo Switch 2.*STRANGER THAN HEAVEN* is scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store), PS5, and XBOX Series X|S.
