Nintendo released the “Pikmin Day Direct,” a presentation announcing the latest news about the “Pikmin” series, at 11:00 PM on October 31.
November 1 Is Now “Pikmin Day”!
In this Direct, which was released unexpectedly, Shigeru Miyamoto appeared and announced that, starting this year, November 1 will be designated as “Pikmin Day.” He explained that the date was chosen because the three original Pikmin colors—red, blue, and yellow—from the series’ 2001 debut each resemble the number 1.

During the broadcast, it was revealed that a demo for *Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Anyone Can Challenge! Planning Test*, a title for the Nintendo Switch 2 set for release on November 12, is scheduled to be released on November 2.Players will be able to play two stages: the early section of *Pikmin 4*, “Sunlit Garden,” and the “Organization Quiz.”

Additionally, regarding the smartphone app *Pikmin Bloom*, a new game mode called “Secret Cave,” where players collect “Otakara,” was announced. The Secret Cave update—which reportedly includes cross-play features with *Pikmin 4 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition*—is scheduled for release this winter.Furthermore, it was announced that “Pikmin Bloom Journey in Kobe” is scheduled to take place on November 21 and 22.

Toward the end of the video, actress Fuka Koshiba appeared as a guest. Miyamoto introduced her, saying, “I hope she’ll help us build excitement for Pikmin going forward.” The presentation then concluded with the “Hello! Pikmin” series of short films, which are scheduled to be released sequentially on “Nintendo Today!” and other platforms.
