On November 6, 2026, Electronic Arts (EA) announced that it had begun distributing 25 of its classic titles (including 7 remastered or restored titles) on Steam. These titles are also available on GOG.com and the EA App.
Titles such as 『Wing Commander』 and 『Road Rush』 are being revived through remasters

The seven remastered or restored titles announced by EA this time are as follows:
Road Rush: 30th Anniversary Edition
Wing Commander: 35th Anniversary Edition
Wing Commander II: Vengeance of the Kilrathi: 35th Anniversary Edition
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger: 30th Anniversary Edition
Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom: 30th Anniversary Edition
Wing Commander Prophecy: 30th Anniversary Edition
Privateer 2: The Darkening: 30th Anniversary Edition

Among the remastered titles announced this time, the 『Wing Commander』 series is a line of space combat simulation games. Starting with the third installment, the series is known for incorporating live-action full-motion video (FMV) sequences featuring Hollywood actors—such as Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in 『Star Wars』—into the game’s cinematics.
For this remaster, the FMV sequences were primarily restored and remastered using video sources recovered from a vast collection of master tapes discovered in an EA warehouse in March 2022. Additionally, various user-created mods have been incorporated into the remaster.

*Road Rush: 30th Anniversary Edition*, which established the combat bike racing genre and was once released in Japan, has been remastered to suit modern environments. In addition to reacquiring licenses for the game’s soundtrack, the remaster features re-edited and high-definition live-action footage (FMV) as well as support for 60fps gameplay.

In addition, numerous other EA classics have been re-released.
Wing Commander: Privateer
Wing Commander: Academy
Wing Commander: Armada
Strike Commander
Theme Hospital
Crusader: No Remorse
Crusader: No Regret
Furthermore, the *Ultima* series—considered one of the “World’s Three Great RPGs” alongside *Wizardry* (though opinions vary on the third)—has also been re-released.
