Parasol Corp has released "Cozy Game Restoration," a game cartridge restoration sim.

The game will support Japanese at launch, with plans to add other languages after release.

This game is a simulator where you clean faded and dirty game cartridges. For each cartridge you receive, you’ll apply the appropriate treatment to address issues such as stickers, doodles made with pens, dust, and scuffs.

When you open the tape-sealed package by hand, you’ll find a cartridge bearing the marks of time—stickers, doodles, scuffs, and dust. There are 108 different games inspired by classics from the 1980s to the early 2000s, each with randomly varying conditions and appearances. You’ll also have the chance to discover rare items, such as region-exclusive editions and gold-colored shells.

As you use the right tools to remove layers upon layers of grime—including ink, discoloration, stickers, and scratches—you’ll enjoy the satisfying sensation of the surface slowly stretching and peeling away.Restoring games advances a collection-based quest; upon completion, you’ll earn decorative items that let you create your own unique space. With no timers or failure conditions, you can enjoy a constantly fresh experience in a relaxed atmosphere. The game is also optimized for the Steam Deck.

“Cozy Game Restoration” is available for PC (Steam) with Japanese language support and is currently on sale for 1,900 yen.
