"Overwhelmingly Popular" Monster-Cooking Side-Scrolling Action Game Sequel 'Dungeon Munchies 2' Launches in Early Access

maJAJa has launched Early Access for the side-scrolling action game *Dungeon Munchies 2: The Second Salvation*.

Cook alien creatures to power up—show us what you’re made of, Zombie Chef!

This title is the sequel to “Dungeon Munchies.” In this side-scrolling action game, you control a zombie chef summoned by his boss, the necromancer Shimmer, as you scavenge the ruins of a vast space colony and cook the swarming alien creatures to strengthen yourself.

From stir-frying on the spot with a plasma spatula to hurling flaming skewers at enemies, every move on display showcases exceptional culinary skills. The dishes created from hunted aliens—ingredients that defy human comprehension—serve as sustenance that simultaneously fuels the protagonist’s growth.

As of the time of writing (November 6), this title does not support Japanese. While the game initially supports only Traditional Chinese and English, an alternative translation feature has been implemented that allows players to view changes instantly within the game and export them as translation templates. These can also be shared via the Steam Workshop.

Unlike its predecessor, the game features a randomized growth system. Other major changes to gameplay include a talent system designed to help players clear the game smoothly and an additional stat growth system tailored for casual players.

Early Access is expected to last approximately two to three years. Currently, players can experience up to Chapter 1 of the story (estimated playtime: about 2–3 hours), and the developers plan to add new stages, skills, enemies, and story content in the future.

The side-scrolling action game *Dungeon Munchies 2: A Second Chance at Salvation*, in which alien cuisine—whose taste is hard to imagine—plays a key role, is now available on Steam. It’s 10% off through November 13.
