SIE Santa Monica Studio has announced that it is postponing the release of *God of War: Raufei*.
The Latest Entry in the *God of War* Series
This title is the latest installment in the *God of War* series, developed by Santa Monica Studio. Instead of Kratos, a familiar face in the series, the protagonist is his wife, Laufay. Laufay wields a weapon that transforms from a serpent into a bow, allowing her to instantly switch to a firing stance.By fully depressing the aim trigger, she can unleash a powerful precision shot, and she can also perform rapid attacks while firing from the hip. Players can find their own unique playstyle by combining various types of arrows, customizing unique abilities using “scales,” and tailoring their equipment, such as armor.
Postponed to May 20, 2027
Although this title was originally scheduled for release on February 16, 2027, for the PS5, it has now been announced that the release has been postponed to May 20, 2027. Pre-orders had already begun on September 29.
Santa Monica Studio explained that it decided to delay the game in order to create a special experience that lives up to the anticipation and passion fans have shown since the announcement in June. The studio aims to use the time leading up to release to polish the game and maximize its potential, delivering a title worthy of the fans’ dedication.
