On November 4, Pocket Pair Publishing—the publishing label of Pocket Pair, known for titles such as *Palworld*—announced that the city-building, clicker, and resource management game*Clicky Islands*, developed by the Polish indie game studio Karrot Games, has surpassed 20,000 Steam Wishlist entries.
The company also revealed that the free demo, currently available on Steam, has earned a 98% “Very Positive” rating based on user reviews. The demo allows players to experience the game’s core mechanics—such as collecting resources by clicking and automating tasks by hiring residents—for approximately 2 to 3 hours.

As previously announced, this title is an incremental game developed by Karrot Games, a studio consisting of two developers based in Poland. Further details have been covered in past articles on Game*Spark. Players take on the role of a governor appointed by the king and travel to an uncharted island to develop it from a small settlement into a mighty kingdom.

In the early stages, you’ll use click-based controls to gather basic resources and develop the island by constructing buildings and unlocking new facilities. The game features approximately 50 types of resources and over 65 types of buildings, with a total of 10 development stages ranging from a small settlement to a vast kingdom.

By using the resources you’ve gathered to hire residents (units) and assign them tasks, you can automate resource gathering and production. Optimizing production lines and upgrading facilities allows resources to continue growing even while you’re not clicking, accelerating the city’s growth cycle.

You can also spend the fame earned through island development to unlock over 140 skills and perks from the skill tree (meta tree). Furthermore, by exploring ancient ruins scattered across each island to collect fossils and crushing them at the researcher’s workbench, you can discover 45 types of “artifacts” with special effects. The skills and artifacts you acquire are permanently carried over to the next island. Furthermore, since islands are automatically generated each time based on your skill unlock progress, you can enjoy a different colonization experience with every playthrough.
*Clicky Islands* is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) on November 17, 2026. A free demo is currently available.
