Overall Impression: *Ace Combat 8* is a masterpiece that defines 2026

With battle mechanics refined beyond its predecessor, *ACE8* not only succeeds in creating dogfights where players must outmaneuver one another but also makes full use of every possible narrative element in the series’ longest campaign to date.By portraying the characters with maximum realism, the game presents a very modern and authentic depiction of human relationships, boasting a level of quality that sets it apart from previous entries.

The online features—among the most extensive in the series—not only highlight the excitement of risk management in co-op play thanks to the aforementioned battle balance, but the PvP mode itself also offers a deep and engaging dogfighting experience due to a balance that prevents any single aircraft from being overpowered, resulting in a fun and entertaining experience.

Furthermore, while the inclusion of a lobby in the online mode is excellent for facilitating communication between players, the user experience regarding the flow leading up to the start of a match is somewhat lacking, and I look forward to seeing improvements in this area in the future.

As a new entry in the *Ace Combat* series, this title succeeds in delivering a 120% immersive experience without compromising on any aspect, fully realizing its vision.

It is undoubtedly one of the defining titles of 2026 and can certainly be considered a milestone that contributes to the evolution of the genre.
