Click response time reduced by up to 30 ms! Introducing the new “PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE” mouse

Following these opening remarks, Takahiro Muroi, Executive Officer of the Marketing Division at Logitech Japan Co., Ltd., took the stage. The presentation of new products then began.

Of particular note in this announcement is the “PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE” gaming mouse. As the successor to the “PRO X2 SUPERSTRIKE,” which was released in February 2026, it continues to feature the proprietary click technology “HITS (Haptic Inductive Trigger System).”

HITS is a technology that combines an analog sensor with a haptic mechanism, replacing conventional microswitches.Using the dedicated “G HUB” software, users can adjust the actuation point across 10 levels, set the rapid trigger reset point across 5 levels, and customize click feedback across 6 levels. According to the company, this technology can increase click speed by up to 30 ms compared to standard gaming mice.

In addition to reducing the weight from the previous model’s 61g to 59g, the new model improves balance during use by shifting the center of gravity closer to the center of the mouse. The adoption of the new “NxLOGI” chipset extends battery life from up to 90 hours to up to 135 hours and reduces latency during wireless connections. It now supports an 8,000 Hz report rate even when connected via a wired connection. The “HERO 2” sensor has also seen performance improvements, reaching a maximum of 48,000 DPI, 90G, and 930 IPS.

The company reportedly had professional gamers it supports test the product prior to launch to gather feedback. At the press conference, comments from players were shared, noting that the changes to the weight balance made the mouse easier to move.

During the Q&A session, improvements to the new mouse and the timing of updates for existing products were explained

Following the product announcement, a Q&A session was held with Logitech representatives. In addition to Mr. Muroi at the venue, overseas product development staff also participated online. Questions were raised regarding the design of the new products and future updates.

First, regarding the “PRO X3 SUPERSTRIKE,” in response to a question about whether there were any changes to the basic performance of HITS compared to the previous model, the representative replied that the HITS performance itself is the same for both products. They explained that the main improvements include extended battery life due to a chipset change and enhanced performance during wireless connections.

Next, a question was raised regarding the firmware update for existing “G502 X PLUS” users. They noted that new color variants and existing color models to be shipped in the future will come pre-loaded with the new firmware. Meanwhile, an update via G HUB for users who already own the product is scheduled to be released soon, and a specific date will be announced as soon as it is finalized.

There was also a question regarding why the “PRO X2 RAPID” did not adopt a gasket-mounted design. According to the representative, the key travel and softness resulting from a gasket-mounted design were not necessarily preferred by professional gamers. They explained that, prioritizing stability and accuracy when pressing the keys, they adopted a structure that combines multiple sound-absorbing materials.

Finally, questions were raised regarding the “YETI 2”’s three-capsule structure and AI noise reduction feature. The three-capsule structure is a redesign of technology inherited from the previous Yeti series; it is used to detect the direction from which the speaker’s voice is coming and dynamically adjust the pickup pattern.

Furthermore, it was revealed that all audio processing—including AI noise reduction—is performed entirely within the microphone itself. According to the representative, there is no need to launch G HUB or connect to the internet; the microphone is designed to handle all processing on its own.

Furthermore, for Sega’s upcoming title *Crazy Taxi: World Tour*, scheduled for release in 2027, Logitech G will serve as the official steering controller partner. The company stated that it is planning various collaborations to ensure players can enjoy the driving experience of this game using its racing devices.Since the arcade version of *Crazy Taxi* used a steering wheel-style controller, I’d definitely love to play this one with a steering controller.

In addition, the launch of the official Logitech G TikTok account and a joint campaign with the gaming PC brand “GALLERIA” were announced.Starting September 24, a campaign will be held where one lucky winner will be selected via a random drawing to receive an original Logitech G-spec gaming PC by following both brands’ official X accounts and reposting the designated post.
