Japan’s largest gaming event, “Tokyo Game Show 2026” (hereinafter “TGS2026”), has been taking place at Makuhari Messe since September 17, 2026. This year marks the first time in the event’s history that it is being held over five days, bringing together a wide variety of games from 53 countries and regions.

From among the many exhibits at the venue, we’d like to highlight the “Korea Pavilion,” presented by the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA). Here’s a report on the booth where you can enjoy titles from 15 Korean game companies all at once.

15 Titles Under One Roof! Try Out the Management Sim “HIP N NOSES”

“KOCCA” is a public institution that supports the growth and international expansion of content—including games, music, and animation—produced by Korean companies. At previous TGS events, it has introduced numerous titles and content through the Korea Pavilion.

At TGS 2026, the Korea Pavilion is located at Booth 03-C03 in Hall 3 of Makuhari Messe. The words “KOREA GAME ROADSHOW,” displayed prominently, welcome visitors.

This year’s booth will feature the following 15 titles:

  • *“Sephiria”* by Team Ho-Ray

  • *The Spike Cross* by SUNCYAN

  • *Project Revenant* by MAYFLY

  • *HIPS N NOSES* by PEPPERSTONES

  • *FAKEBOOK* by Semi-Basement Games

  • "Chrono Soul" by Pixelian

  • "Fatal Claw" by NDEV GAMES

  • "INTERSCAPE" ROOMTONE

  • "7Trials" NEWCORE GAMES

  • "The Tower of Babel: Survivors of Chaos" by Nanuk Company

  • "Cat and Soup: Fluffy Town" by ARUM GAMES

  • "Bag Room Cleaner" by Hypercent

  • "Terra Taker" by DreamCraft

  • "The Witch's Garden" by Team Tapas

  • "DIDIM" by TWOHANDS INTERACTIVE

The lineup featured a wide range of games across various genres and devices, including popular titles already released—such as the exhilarating volleyball game “The Spike Cross,” which is popular not only on Steam but also on smartphones—as well as “DIDIM,” an “AR exercise solution” that lets you enjoy a variety of immersive titles by projecting the game screen onto the floor, offering an experience you rarely get in everyday life.

I immediately tried out “HIP N NOSES,” a highly anticipated title developed by “PepperStones.Inc” that features striking cartoon-style graphics. It’s a rare opportunity to thoroughly enjoy indie games before their official release.

The game is a fusion of a management simulation and “Vansaba”-style survival action. It follows the protagonist as they work as a café employee during the day—taking orders and serving customers (and occasionally fending off troublesome patrons)—and then, at night, rushes off to battle enemies in a dream world.

While the gameplay is a unique hybrid, the graphics—including the visual presentation—are well-crafted, and the exhilarating yet comfortable gameplay experience is impressive. The story unfolds as you alternate between playing each stage and participating in events with the people around you.

The banter between the cute and comically animated characters is witty, and the Japanese translation flows naturally, making this a game that exudes exceptionally high quality.

In the indie game scene in recent years, I get the impression that titles created by Korean developers are gaining more prominence. Especially for Japanese gamers, who share cultural affinities, this scene likely holds great potential for discovering games that resonate deeply—even if they aren’t from major developers.

The booth decorations were adorable, too.

And once you’ve finished playing, don’t forget to get a stamp on the flyer they’re handing out.

At the booth, collecting five stamps enters you into a raffle for a commemorative gift, and apparently, if you play all 15 titles and collect stamps from each, you can even enter a raffle for a special prize. Let’s play the games and grab a souvenir to commemorate your visit.

The Korea Pavilion at TGS 2026, packed with content from our neighboring country, is a booth that offers something for everyone—from those looking for just one specific title to those who want to play through the entire lineup.

With multiple demo stations available for every title, you can sit down, rest your feet, and experience a wide variety of games all in one place—so why not stop by when you visit the venue?
