FromSoftware has suspended game servers for the action RPGs *DARK SOULS II* and *DARK SOULS III* across all platforms due to a technical issue.
According to an announcement from the company’s official X (formerly Twitter) user support account, “FROMSOFTWARE PLAYER SUPPORT,” a technical issue was discovered on the game servers for both titles. As a result, game servers are currently down on all platforms.

The specific nature and cause of the issue have not been disclosed. The company states that it will provide a separate update regarding the restoration timeline as soon as details become available.

It is worth noting that in January 2022, game servers for the PC versions of *DARK SOULS REMASTERED*, *DARK SOULS II*, and *DARK SOULS III* were also temporarily suspended to investigate security vulnerabilities. As previously reported in a past Game*Spark article, online services for the PC versions of *DARK SOULS III* and *DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin* (DX11 version) resumed in August and October 2022, respectively.
Additionally, Capcom’s *Street Fighter V* was recently temporarily suspended from sale due to PHP security enhancements, though it is unclear whether this is related to the current situation.
