On October 30, Nintendo announced that it would cancel the limited-time “Trick or Treat!” event currently underway in *Kirby’s Air Rider* for the Nintendo Switch 2 due to a technical issue.
Halloween Event Canceled the Day After It Began
“Trick or Treat!” was a Halloween-themed limited-time event scheduled to run from 12:00 PM on October 29 to 12:00 PM on November 3.
During this event, players could enjoy “City Trial” under special rules: attacking rivals would cause more items to appear than usual, and when taking damage, players could recover by eating sweets.
Furthermore, by participating in the event and accumulating points, players were set to earn Halloween-themed materials and rewards such as a “Ghost” hat for their Riders.
However, at 5:00 PM on October 30, Nintendo Support announced that a bug had been confirmed causing the screen to freeze temporarily while playing the event. In light of this issue, they decided to cancel the event. At this time, the specific conditions under which the bug occurs and its cause have not been disclosed.
The company plans to hold the event again so players can earn these rewards. Specific details, such as the event dates, will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
