MythicOwl is offering the puzzle game "Hexologic" for free on PC (Steam) for a limited time until 2:00 a.m. on November 1.
Match the sums of intersecting rows
This Sudoku-style logic puzzle game involves placing dots on a hexagonal grid to make the sum of each column match a specified number.
The basic rule is that players place 1 to 3 dots in each hexagonal cell, using the numbers shown at the edges of the board as clues. For example, if a two-cell column must total “6,” you can satisfy the condition by placing three dots in each cell.
However, since columns extend in multiple directions and a single cell can affect more than one column, adjusting the number of dots to balance the total in one column will also change the totals in other columns. You must find a configuration that makes sense across the entire board while balancing the conditions of each column.
The game features over 90 levels (stages) incorporating various mechanisms. With its colorful yet soothing visuals and music, you can fully immerse yourself in the puzzles.
The game was released for PC (Steam) in May 2018 and has since expanded to consoles such as Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PS5. As of this writing, 96% of the 690 Steam reviews rate the game as “Overwhelmingly Positive.”
