The popular U.S. satirical animated series “South Park” aired a video featuring footage from “Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6)” during an episode of the show. The show’s official X account also posted a clip of the scene.

The official “South Park” account (currently named “South America”) posted scenes showing a dog on a walk “doing its business” on the beach, picking up the waste, and throwing it at an NPC’s face, while a voiceover explains that it can also be used as an improvised weapon.
The voice of the woman in the red suit saying, “Look at this—the graphics are truly next-gen,” belongs to Tish Hicks, who provided the narration for the *Grand Theft Auto V* trailer.For a pre-release title, using footage of a dog defecating is quintessentially “South Park,” and even Cartman is expressing his excitement, saying, “This looks super fun!”
The post includes the text “November. That is what’s coming,” which hints at *GTA 6*’s scheduled release on November 19; however, some interpret it as a reference to the U.S. midterm elections taking place in November.
The animated series “South Park,” known for its scathing satire that knows no restraint or deference, will change its name, logo, and social media accounts to “South America” starting with the broadcast of its 29th season in September 2026.This is a satirical response to President Trump’s attempts to rename bays, lakes, and even states after “America.” On September 8, the show’s two co-creators declared, “Inspired by the courage and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are renaming South Park ‘South America’” (CNN).
This isn’t the first time Rockstar Games has employed promotional strategies that leverage other media platforms. In August, the studio released a feature-length video for *GTA 6* titled “Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look” on Netflix, which topped the weekly viewership charts in many countries.
We may see even more promotional activities designed to build anticipation among fans right up until the game’s release.
