Abylight Barcelona and Abylight Studios have released “S.O.N.A.R. - Submarine Crew, Not Ready!”, a cooperative submarine simulator for 1 to 4 players.
Work Together to Navigate the Submarine
In this game, you board a state-of-the-art submarine and work together with other crew members to navigate it while completing missions such as combat, stealth operations, and treasure recovery. You’ll have to repair critical malfunctions, recalibrate complex systems, and hope that the person sitting next to you isn’t just “someone who’s randomly pressing buttons.”

Key Features
Underwater Missions
The seas are under enemy control. Gather a team of highly trained specialists (or at least people who claim they “know what they’re doing”) and carry out dangerous missions beneath the waves.
Spot enemy ships and send them to the bottom of the sea—preferably before they do the same to you.
Protect valuable cargo ships. Apparently, the military couldn’t find anyone else to babysit them.
Go treasure hunting. Explore the ocean floor in search of lost riches, forgotten artifacts, and evidence of past crews’ missteps.
Slip undetected between enemy destroyers. Quietly. Stealthily. And whatever you do, don’t sneeze.
Co-op Play
Up to four crew members work together to manage nine critical stations, including navigation, diving, sonar, periscope operation, engines, and damage control. When the submarine catches fire or starts taking on water through 12 holes at once, communication is the only thing that determines whether you’ll end up as fish food.
What you can do with in-game voice chat:
Shout out emergency orders.
Alert everyone to an impending disaster.
Explain that this disaster is definitely someone else’s fault.
If a teammate starts reading the manual during a torpedo attack, give them a friendly slap to bring them back to reality! Nothing speaks more eloquently of “mission accomplished” than a victory dance in the midst of
hellish conditions.
Customization
In S.O.N.A.R., every character has their own unique personality. Choose from dozens of uniforms, hats, and some rather questionable fashion choices. Customize your gear before heading out on a mission, and unlock new gear as you level up. If you’re going to make terrible decisions underwater, at least make sure you look the part.
Survival
It’s not just machines that break down—people do, too.
Manage your crew’s food, rest schedules, and overall health. Leave them to their own devices for too long, and they’ll become exhausted, seasick, and delirious—and for some reason, unable to follow even simple instructions.
Health Tip: When it’s your turn to load torpedoes, you really, really want to avoid throwing up inside your diving helmet.
Trust me.

"S.O.N.A.R. - Submarine Crew, Unprepared!", produced in collaboration with the Spanish Navy, is now available on Steam. It’s 15% off through November 13.
