Final Major Update Released for *Assassin’s Creed Black Flag RE:Sync*
*Assassin’s Creed Black Flag RE:Sync*, released on July 9, 2026, has been receiving ongoing updates from the team at Ubisoft Singapore, and it has now been announced that the final major update for the game will be released.
This update will add New Game+ and Nightmare Mode, as well as new rewards, finishers, trinkets, and customization options.The rewards reportedly include Blackbeard’s iconic outfit and Edward’s London outfit as special gifts to the community, as well as new customization options for the Jack-d’Or and its crew.
The Long-Awaited New Game+ Comes to *Valhalla* on November 5
*Assassin’s Creed Valhalla*, which has surpassed 40 million players, will introduce “New Game+”—one of the features most requested by the community—on November 5.
New Game+ allows you to start a new adventure while carrying over most of your progress. The update also introduces balance adjustments specifically for New Game+.
Additionally, this update adds an optional mode that factors gear, runes, and masteries into Eivor’s overall combat power. Along with new runes, achievements, and a vault system, new rewards are available, including the Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe from *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*.Furthermore, “Mithril,” a new material that can be used to upgrade “Heaven”-quality gear and runes, will be introduced, and the “Heaven” quality tier will be added to all gear.
News regarding updates for current-generation consoles is also scheduled to be released within the next few days.
Progress on Projects in Development
The multiplayer project “Code Name INVICTUS” held its first closed “Insider Session” a few months ago, where hundreds of players experienced the prototype currently in development.The response to the return of PvP multiplayer was extremely positive, with players highly praising the map design that makes use of parkour and elevation changes, dynamic team play, and the ability to control a variety of characters with unique skills and playstyles.
On the other hand, players also expressed a desire to see more elements characteristic of the *Assassin’s Creed* series incorporated, and the development team has been making improvements over the past few months.It is reported that “Code Name INVICTUS” is now moving toward a new phase that more strongly reflects the essence of *Assassin’s Creed* without compromising the appeal of multiplayer.
As for “Code Name HEXE,” which aims to deliver a darker *Assassin’s Creed* experience, development is progressing steadily but will still take some time. The company expects to provide an update in 2027.
The Future of Remakes
It has been revealed that there are currently no remakes in development for the *Assassin’s Creed* series. At present, the development team is focusing on creating next-generation *Assassin’s Creed* titles, including unannounced titles featuring new settings and stories.
However, this does not mean the door to remakes has been closed; the development team sees great value in allowing players to experience past classics anew and states that they will continue to explore ways to present older titles in new forms.
Production of the Netflix Live-Action Series Nearing Completion
Production on the Netflix live-action “Assassin’s Creed” series is nearing completion in Rome, Italy. Jean reportedly visited the set there to offer advice on the script and hold meetings with the production team.
It was also announced that award-winning composer Hannah Peel has joined the project and will be composing the music for the series.
