"Lilili Respawn," featuring that comedian, has been released. It's a 3D puzzle action game where you respawn repeatedly and use the piled-up corpses as platforms.

The indie game production label Re³ / Lilili has released *Lilili Respawn*, developed by Studio Hi.

Use your own corpse as a foothold, a weight, or a shield to move forward

This 3D action-puzzle game involves using the player’s own corpse—left behind each time they die—to clear a path.

The protagonist is a man who has gained the ability to revive while leaving his corpse behind. To uncover the secrets of “BOX,” a massive structure riddled with dangerous traps, he repeatedly dies.

If you die by touching a laser, your body remains where you fell. Upon reviving, you use your corpse as a stepping stone, a counterweight, or a shield to move forward.

Whether it’s a platform out of reach or a trap blocking your path, the way you position your corpses can become the key to breaking through. Where you leave your corpses, how you combine them with the stage’s mechanisms, and where and how you die are all crucial to clearing the levels.

The protagonist is played by Kuruma Takahira of the comedy duo Reiwa Roman. This marks his first leading role in a video game, where he plays a man who leaves behind corpses and revives time and time again.

"Lilili Respawn" is currently available for PC (Steam) for 980 yen. It’s 10% off—882 yen—through November 6.
