Pawprint Interactive Entertainment has launched the second half of Season 1, “Setting Out in Pursuit of the Wind,” for its open-world monster-collecting RPG *Aniimo* today, October 29.
Embark on a new adventure in the “Shiosai Archipelago” map
This free-to-play open-world monster-collecting RPG lets you travel a vast world while befriending mysterious creatures called “Animo.” The PC and console versions launched on September 16, followed by the mobile version on September 23, and the game has now surpassed 15 million cumulative users worldwide.
In the second half of Season 1, a new exploration area, the “Shiosai Archipelago,” has been added. The map consists of four areas: “Mikazuki Bay,” “Scarlet Marshes,” “Rapid-Flooded Gorge,” and “Sky-Reaching Waterfall.” In these environments unlike anything seen before, encounters with new Animo await.
New storylines—“Where Waves and Songs Meet,” “The Isolated Seas,” and “Challenge the Roaring Rapids”—have also been added.
32 species and 51 new Animo have arrived! Seasonal rainbow-colored Animo are also available
A total of 51 new Animo across 32 species have been introduced.The highlights are the season-exclusive “Rainbow Cat-Eared Owl” and “Rainbow Kaitou Bat.” The Rainbow Cat-Eared Owl, with its cat-like agility, can be obtained from the “Companion Notebook” during the season, while the Rainbow Kaitou Bat, with its cool and glamorous appearance, can be obtained from “Seasonal Achievements.”
Furthermore, during the “Bounty of the Earth’s Veins” event, several special, limited-time Rainbow Animos will appear in the Shiosai Archipelago. See for yourself what forms the other Rainbow Animos will take!
Halloween-Exclusive Event “Mysterious Night Parade” Also Taking Place
To coincide with the update, the limited-time Halloween-themed event “Mysterious Night Parade” will be held. In this event, you’ll entertain Animo guests in a pumpkin house, and rewards include Champion Pods, Big Balls, Shiny Crystals, Earth Vein Essence, and icon frames.
The “Magical Mysterious Night” event is also taking place on the Home screen. Limited-time crops like “Magic Pumpkins” and “Lamp of Memories” will be available, letting you enjoy a true Halloween atmosphere.
In addition, the second half of Season 1 will reportedly include a new PvP mode and login bonuses. Details on each event can be found in-game, on the official website, and on the official X account.
"Aniimo" is currently available on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, and the official PC version), PS5, XBOX Series X|S, iOS, and Android, and is free-to-play.
