Sokpop Collective has announced "Rat Game," an asymmetrical online multiplayer action game for Windows PCs (via Steam).
A cornered rat can even hack a PC!

This is an asymmetrical multiplayer action game where one player takes on the role of a chef and 2–8 players take on the roles of mice in a battle for survival. To counter the restaurant chef’s extermination campaign—fueled by his frustration with the mice’s mischief—the mice must fight tooth and nail to destroy the restaurant using every trick in the book.

Although a single mouse is small and weak, when they band together, they can execute strategies to torment the chef with far greater power than you might imagine. Beyond classic pranks like chewing through wires and stealing food, they’ll even go so far as to break the toilets and hack computers in their quest to win the survival competition.Another key strategy is to use their small size to their advantage, exploiting hidden shortcuts and dark corners to dart around the restaurant at will and throw the chef off balance.
Features "choo-choo" sound effects for close-range voice chat

On the chef’s side, the goal is to track down the rats by listening for their footsteps and the sound of their claws, then catch them and put them in a cage. Since guns are available as a last resort, if catching them one by one isn’t your style, it can be quite entertaining to treat any damage to the restaurant as a necessary expense and just blast away at the pests.

“Rat Game,” which features unique communication and disruption via “squeak-squeak” close-range voice chat, is currently in development for release on Windows PC (via Steam) in the third quarter of 2026.
