On October 23, Cover and Aiming announced that pre-registrations for their new collaborative mahjong game, “Hololive Mahjong -Holojan-,” had reached 200,000.
The First Mahjong Game Featuring 37 Hololive Talents
This title is Hololive’s first mahjong game, featuring a total of 37 Hololive talents. It is compatible with both smartphones and PCs, allowing players to compete online with others nationwide.
It features a “Beginner Assist” function for mahjong newcomers. The game also includes exclusive voice lines recorded specifically for this title, as well as special stickers for communicating during matches, promoting itself as a “mahjong game to enjoy with your favorite streamers.”
Mahjong Table Skins Featuring Designs from 3rd–5th Generation Talents Given to All Players
As a reward for reaching 200,000 pre-registrations, it has been decided that players will receive social media icons featuring talents from the 3rd through 5th generations, as well as “mahjong table skins” designed by these talents for use in-game. The social media icons will be distributed via the official X account, and all players who start the game after the official launch will receive the mahjong table skins.
If the next target of 300,000 pre-registrations is reached, in addition to social media icons and mahjong table skins featuring the secret societies holoX, ReGLOSS, and FLOW GLOW, 30 players will be randomly selected to win an “original mahjong magazine-style notebook.”
5th Generation “Generation & Unit PV” Released
In addition, the “Cohort & Unit PV (5th Cohort),” which introduces the talent appearing in the game, has been released. It features Ramie Yukihana, Nene Momozuru, Botan Shiro, and Polka Omari.
In the video, you can see the 5th-generation members’ expressive facial expressions from within the game, as well as hear snippets of their exclusive voice lines recorded specifically for this title. Be sure to listen to their lines for actions like “Pon,” “Riichi,” and “Ron,” as well as their witty retorts—such as “A present for Rammy? Hehe… thank you♪.”
To celebrate the release, a “Follow & Quote-Repost” campaign is currently underway on the official X account, where 10 winners per member will be selected via lottery to receive an acrylic stand featuring a 5th Generation member.
Early Access and Official Creator Recruitment
We are currently accepting applications for the “Early Access” program for influencers until 11:59 PM on October 30, 2026.
The play period runs from 12:00 PM on November 12 to 6:00 PM on November 20. To apply, you must have at least 3,000 subscribers on a streaming channel such as YouTube, or at least 10,000 followers on X. Details can be found on the special event page.
We are also accepting applications for “Official Creators” to promote the game outside the game until 11:59 PM on December 31, 2026.There are two categories: the “Streamer Category” for those primarily active in video streaming, and the “Creator Category” for those involved in illustration, model creation, and music. Those who are certified will receive in-game benefits such as an “Official Badge.”
The review period runs from January 1 to January 31, 2027, and results are scheduled to be announced on February 1. Please visit the special page for more details.
In addition, the “Mahjong Playstyle Quiz” is currently available, where you can answer five questions to find out which Hololive talent you’re most compatible with. If you share your quiz results on X with the hashtag “#HolojanStyleQuiz,” you’ll be entered into a drawing where a total of 185 winners will receive an A4 art board featuring an original illustration.
On the official YouTube channel, a six-part video series titled “Koyori-sensei’s Mahjong Beginner Course♪,” in which Koyori Hakui teaches the basics of mahjong, is being updated every Sunday at 6:00 PM. The content is designed for those who don’t know the rules or want to enjoy mahjong streams even more.
Additionally, official 3D short animations are released every Wednesday on the “Holojan” official YouTube channel and official TikTok, and every other Friday on the Hololive official YouTube channel.
“Hololive Mahjong -Holojan-” is scheduled for release within 2026 as a free-to-play game for iOS, Android, Windows, and web browsers. Pre-registration is currently open on the pre-registration website and through various app stores.
