Independent game development studio LOOIFEND GAMES launched the Steam Early Access version of its first-person horror roguelike *SAKIMORI* on October 22, 2026.
Strengthen yourself and purify the cursed land!
In this game, players take on the role of a “Guardian” of the living world, tasked with finding and purifying “cursed objects” that disrupt the world’s balance. Within the game, you must explore stages within a time limit, fight off attacking enemies while upgrading your weapons, and purify the collected cursed objects at a shrine.
During exploration, you can enhance your weapons by emitting “scanning waves” to collect “spirit particles” scattered throughout the stage. Since enemies will constantly attack you until purification is complete, it’s crucial to thoroughly upgrade your weapons.While it’s possible to attempt to purify cursed objects as quickly as possible, be careful—you’ll face fierce enemy attacks even during the purification ritual.
New areas are also planned for the full release
The Steam Early Access period is expected to last approximately 6 to 12 months. At the start of Early Access, you’ll be able to experience all the basic game mechanics, including exploring the school map, combat, permanent upgrades before starting a stage, and weapon upgrades. For the full release, we plan to expand the exploration areas and content, as well as implement Steam achievements.
"SAKIMORI" is now available on Steam Early Access. A release commemorative sale is currently underway through November 5, 2026, offering the game at a 20% discount for 240 yen.
