Atooi has released the PC version of the survival horror FPS *Dementium II (The Locked Ward -DEMENTIUM II-)*, originally released for the Nintendo DS in 2010, on Steam.

As It Should Be
Although the PC version of *Dementium II* was released in 2013 by Memetic Games as *Dementium II HD*, it received “mixed reviews.”
Jools Watsham, co-founder of the original developer Renegade Kid and current head of Atooi, recently announced that he had reclaimed the rights to *Dementium II HD* and revealed that that version was not the game as it was originally intended. The PC version of *Dementium II* now available is said to be the “true form” of the game, restored by the original development team.

Key Features
A sequel that’s bigger and more dangerous.
Fight smarter. Wield your flashlight and weapon simultaneously as you navigate vast environments by jumping and crawling.
A significant increase in both weapons and monsters. Each requires its own unique strategy.
Defeated enemies stay down. Areas you’ve cleared once remain safe.
Thanks to save points and a portable inventory, you can restore your health not only when you find items, but whenever you need to.
Go beyond the confines of the psychiatric ward and venture into abandoned villages and even more terrifying locations.
Faithfully recreated from the original and reimagined for a modern audience.
Crisp or crunchy? You can enjoy crisp visuals at up to 4K resolution, or deliberately lower the resolution to experience the pixelated atmosphere of the original version.
Choose your flashlight style: a modern version with realistic lighting, or a unique lighting effect reminiscent of the original.
Fear without warning. In the original version, music would warn you when enemies approached, but if you turn that warning off, you’ll have absolutely no way of knowing when enemies are closing in.
Redesigned for a single screen. All elements that were split across two screens in the DS version have been consolidated onto a single screen. A minimap showing your current location is also displayed on the screen.
You can choose between controller or mouse and keyboard controls.
Fully compatible with Steam Deck. Take this nightmarish experience with you wherever you go.
Supports Steam Achievements.

"Dementium II" is available on Steam for 1,900 yen. The previous title, "Dementium: The Ward," is on sale for 50% off through October 31, and a bundle containing both games, the "Dementium Collection," is also available.
