Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that it may adjust the schedule for the update to the dramatic flight shooter *ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE* (Ace Combat 8), scheduled for release on October 23.
Based on the status of measures being taken to address system-related issues currently affecting the entire industry,
for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam) versions, the update—which was scheduled to include adjustments to enemy aircraft behavior in “CAMPAIGN” mode, fixes for a bug that prevented progress under specific conditions,as well as adjustments to special weapons in “ACE COMBAT ONLINE.” However, the company has indicated that the schedule may change.
The Ver. 1.01.002 update and the accompanying server maintenance for “ACE COMBAT ONLINE,” originally scheduled for October 23, 2026, may be rescheduled, as announced on October 21, due to the ongoing response to system-related issues affecting the entire industry.
The company is currently assessing the scope of the impact and taking appropriate measures; depending on future developments, the dates and times for updates and maintenance may be subject to change. Details regarding implementation will be announced once the schedule is finalized.
"ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE" is currently available for PC (Steam), PS5, and XBOX Series X|S. The standard edition is priced at 9,790 yen.
