On October 21, 2026, Hamster announced that it will release “Console Archives: Raiden Project” on October 22 as new content for its “Console Archives” series, available on PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
The “Raiden” Series Joins “Console Archives”! Enjoy Both the Original and II in a Single Title
“Raiden Project” is a shooting game originally released for the PlayStation by Save Development in 1995. This is a bundled port that includes both the original “Raiden” and “Raiden II.”
The “Raiden” series is a simple shooter characterized by shots, bombers, shot-switching via items, and high-speed enemy bullets. Thanks to its easy-to-understand gameplay, it became a long-running hit that gained support from a wide range of audiences, including office workers.
Now, a console port of the “Raiden” series is coming to “Console Archives.” Since the original arcade version of “Raiden” is also available in the “Arcade Archives” series for PS4 and Nintendo Switch, it might be fun to play both versions side by side.
“Console Archives: Raiden Project” is scheduled for release on October 22 for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
