On October 21, 2026, Purapura Soft began distributing the comedy 3D dungeon RPG *Team Liars* as freeware.

An adventure story that begins with a lie!? A DRPG featuring item synthesis and hack-and-slash looping

This 3D dungeon RPG follows five adventurers based in a certain town as they pile lies upon one another and eventually form the adventurer group “Team Liars.” The game is built around the concepts of an “easy-to-play 3D dungeon RPG” and a “comical story that begins with a lie.”

Bernhard, one of the main characters, is regarded by those around him as a hero representing the Adventurers’ Guild… but in reality, he’s a warrior who has survived on bluffs and luck, possessing at most 1.25 times the experience of other adventurers.

Kuju, a witch who is the other representative of the Adventurers’ Guild, is seen as Bernhard’s rival, but in reality, she harbors an obsessive fixation on him. However, since she never voices this, their relationship remains strangely awkward.

These five adventurers, each harboring their own motives, set out to challenge labyrinths across the land. Within the labyrinths, battles unfold against dangerous, visible enemies known as “Field Object Entries” as well as other randomly encountered foes.

In combat, the enemies’ actions are revealed in advance. Deciding how to respond based on this information is where the player’s tactical skills truly shine.

Additionally, in this game, you can set up detailed auto-battle tactics for each character.

While exploring dungeons, auto-mapping is recorded, and once the floor clearance rate reaches 100%, “Auto-Exploration” becomes available.

This feature explores the floor entirely on its own; since treasure chests and monsters respawn on each floor, it allows for efficient grinding. Combined with the auto-battle feature mentioned earlier, this enables fully automated farming runs.

You can also enhance the stats of your equipment by infusing it with crystals dropped by monsters.

Additionally, the game features hack-and-slash elements: you may occasionally find weapons in dungeons with unique, quirky properties—known as “Golden Weapons”—which transform into powerful weapons the more you use them.

This game is available as freeware. If you’re intrigued by the adventure of these five quirky characters, why not give it a try? The estimated playtime is 12–14 hours, but including post-game content, it’s estimated to be over 25 hours.

While gameplay commentary and streaming are permitted, the developers ask that you include spoiler warnings for Episode 7 and beyond for the first two weeks after the release (until November 4).

"Team Liars" is currently available for free on PC (Free Game Yume Gen).
