Wain Kyu Kyu has begun accepting pre-orders for a total of six products as part of its “Childhood Friends” collaboration with *Katsukaden*, including Yu Xiaomei’s cloudy plum wine and Yu Zhu’s cola syrup.
Major Update Released After Delay; Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu’s Romance Route Added
This game is a Taiwanese-developed character-building RPG in which the unattractive protagonist, Zhao Huo, rises to prominence in a wuxia world. The major update, “Kongtong Divine Might,” was originally scheduled for release on September 15 but was postponed to October 15 due to key members of the development team contracting COVID-19.
Then, on October 15, the version 1.0.6000.0 update was released as scheduled. This update adds romance routes for both Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu, as well as new sub-scenarios and new skills from secret manuals that can be used in ideological battles.
On the system side, new features include the “Bead-Shooting Table”—a scheme to swindle money from the Fourth Senior Brother—as well as the ability to batch-process forging and alchemy. Additionally, stand-in illustrations for some characters were updated, and bugs related to scenarios and duels were fixed.
Furthermore, the fan-made Japanese localization mod was updated to v2.5 on October 15, the day of the game’s update. In addition to supporting the main game’s update, a feature has been added that allows the mod to update automatically within the game going forward.

“Childhood Friends” is a collaboration between Wa-In Kyu-Kyu and the characters Yu Xiaomei and Yu Zhu. The lineup consists of a total of six products: two individual beverages, two merchandise sets, and two sets combining beverages and merchandise. The illustrations are original works by Wa Ichi-ku.
Yu Xiaomei’s “Xiaomei Sake: Invitation to the Demon Realm” is a cloudy plum wine (720 ml, 14% alcohol) based on Kōbu Shuzojo’s shochu “Invitation to the Demon Realm,” priced at 6,180 yen.The bottle and gift box feature illustrations of Yu Xiaomei dressed as a maid and Hu Shandian.
Yuzhu’s “Yuzhu-style Cola (Handmade) Cola Syrup” is a non-alcoholic syrup for dilution (200 ml, non-alcoholic) that combines bamboo charcoal powder with citrus and spices, priced at 2,980 yen. You can enjoy it by mixing it with sparkling water or other beverages to your desired strength.
The label, which features Kotake stretching, reportedly uses the handwritten text “Kotake’s Cola (Handmade)” provided by Obb Studio’s Kuma-san. This bottle reflects Kotake’s signature style of writing her name on her personal belongings.
Each merchandise set includes three items: an acrylic stand, a coaster, and a glass; beverages are not included. The price for both Xiao Mei and Xiao Zhu sets is 4,980 yen.
The Yu Xiaomei set includes an acrylic stand featuring Yu Xiaomei in a maid outfit and Hu Shandian, along with a glass with a red silhouette. The Yu Zhuzhu set features an acrylic stand with a background and a glass adorned with a green silhouette and the handwritten text “Yu Zhuzhu’s Cup.”
In addition, bundled sets combining each beverage with a merchandise set are available. The “Xiao Mei Set | Plum Wine + Merchandise” is priced at 11,160 yen, and the “Xiao Zhu Set | Cola + Merchandise” is priced at 7,960 yen.
Pre-orders are being accepted until November 20, with shipping scheduled for January 2027. In Japan, these items are available exclusively through mail order, and sales and delivery are limited to Japan and Taiwan. Please note that plum wine and sets containing plum wine will not be sold to anyone under the age of 20.
"Aomei Takuma" is available for pre-order on the Wain Kyuukyuu online store until November 20, 2026, with shipping scheduled for January 2027.
"Katsukaden" is currently available for PC (Steam) for 2,300 yen.
