The dodgeball action game *Knockout City*, which ended its official service in 2023 and launched a private server version in 2024, has been making headlines after its official X account posted on October 19, 2026—its first post in about two years.
Official Account Active for the First Time in About Two Years, Announcing a Private Server Tournament

*Knockout City* is a PvP action game based on dodgeball. Players search the city for members of opposing teams, and at times even become the ball themselves to hit rival players, aiming for their team’s victory.

The game’s official X account had stopped posting in June 2024, but it has now posted again after a long hiatus. The post announces a tournament being held on a permanent private server run by volunteers.

A more detailed announcement about the tournament has been posted on Reddit, stating that participants will receive tickets to purchase new cosmetic items created by volunteers.
In response to this development, gamers have shared reactions such as, “This might be the first time I’ve seen a game that was supposed to have ended still alive in this way,” “I never thought events like this would happen again,” and “Please bring it back officially!”

This user-led event even managed to get the official account—which had been virtually dormant—back up and running. It truly seems to be a testament to the fans’ love and enthusiasm.
A private server version of *Knockout City* is currently available for free on PC (Steam). It does not support Japanese.
