“Torneko's Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon—A Slightly Wonderful Remaster” update fixes level-up stutter and message text.

Square Enix announced on October 19, 2026, that it had released an update for *Torneko’s Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon—A Slightly Wonderful Remaster* on all platforms.

"Torneko Remaster" Finally Fixed to Make Pacing and Message Text Feel More Natural

The changes announced on the Steam news page are as follows:

1. Game Pacing Adjustments

• Adjustments to sound effect playback: Adjustment to the time between when
  music starts playing and when the player can take an action

• Message Display Adjustments
  : Adjustments to the pacing of battle message display

2. Other Adjustments

• Adjustments
  to monster behavior: Fixed behavior when splitting; Fixed a bug with chain reactions from
  bomb rocks; Fixed behavior when
  traps are triggered; Fixed a bug with
  sleeping monsters; Fixed an issue where
  item effects were not functioning properly

• Adjustments
  to dialogue readability; adjustments to readability in Japanese displays

• Fixed controller input anomalies; addressed an issue where controller buttons would
  occasionally remain pressed

• Other Bug Fixes: Fixed an issue where the game would freeze after a message appeared under
  specific conditions; fixed an issue where the character could not stop while dashing
  diagonally; fixed an issue where problems occurred after using
  certain items; fixed a stun effect when picking up
  certain items; fixed an issue where problems occurred with
  specific trap triggers; fixed an issue where
  achievements were not being properly recorded; fixed an issue where
  certain play data was not being reflectedFixed an issue where save data was
  occasionally not saved properly. Fixed an error
  in the bestiary. Made minor adjustments to the field of
  view. Improved the
  readability of the HP gauge. Fixed the confirmation prompts for
  first-time use of the streaming feature.

As indicated in the update notes under “Adjustments to Japanese Text Readability,” line breaks in messages now flow more naturally, making the text generally easier to read. Issues such as becoming unable to act during the fanfare when leveling up and a slight delay in message log updates during monster battles have also been fixed.

"Torneko’s Great Adventure: Mystery Dungeon – A Slightly Wonderful Remaster" is now available for PC (Steam/Google Play PC), PS5, XBOX Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS, and Android for 3,520 yen (3,500 yen for iOS/Android).
