The v0.8.0 update for the demo version of the PC (Steam) Metroidvania game *Iron Bramble* has been released.

This new Metroidvania title comes from the development team behind *Rusted Moss*, which holds an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam.It features a highly flexible movement system utilizing a physics-based grappling hook, and players take on the role of a young girl named “Lilac” to explore “Iron Bramble,” a massive mechanism where robots controlled by the souls of the dead are imprisoned.
The demo has been available on Steam since September 17, 2026, and as of this writing, it has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating, with 99% of 897 reviews recommending it. Recently, publisher PLAYISM reported that the game had surpassed 100,000 wishlist entries.
Since its release, this demo has received several updates containing fixes and adjustments, but with this release—marking the “end of updates for now”—version 0.8.0 has been released, incorporating features that were particularly requested by users.
In v0.8.0, aim assist has been added to the grappling hook, and players can now switch to borderless full-screen mode and enable or disable VSYNC. Additionally, there have been minor visual adjustments to the world map to make impassable boundaries in each room easier to identify, as well as fixes for several bugs.
The developers announced that they plan to focus exclusively on developing the full release going forward, and as a result, the feedback form will be closed. While the Steam discussion thread will remain available, the developers noted that “the method for collecting feedback may change in the future.”
*Iron Bramble* is scheduled for release on PC (Steam) in 2027.
