Ikurie has announced a change in the shipping schedule and the final amounts for shipping fees and customs duties for the board game “Shin Megami Tensei: The Board Game (SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI - THE BOARD GAME).” The dimensions and weight of the product packaging have also been disclosed.
Further Shipping Delays
This board game is based on Atlus’s RPG series *Shin Megami Tensei*.Although the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign was successful in December 2024, raising 98,963,619 yen, the company issued an apology in January 2026 for delays in progress reports and announced that shipments would begin in August 2026.
Although the schedule had been confirmed as certain at the time and it was explicitly stated that there would be no major changes to the timeline going forward, it was announced in July 2026 that the shipment date would be postponed to November 2026 due to issues with the payment system.
Amid this, another shipping delay was announced on Kickstarter on October 16, 2026. This decision resulted from final adjustments with the manufacturing plant and was made with quality in mind. Specifically, shipments are scheduled to begin sequentially starting December 18, 2026.
Final Shipping and Duty Costs
The announcement revealed that the product package measures 545 × 400 × 300 mm and weighs approximately 13.3 kg. The final total for shipping and customs duties for shipments to Japan is 14,000 yen, with 3,000 yen already collected as a deposit.
Note that the shipping cost for Japan, which had been previously announced as an estimate of $81.13 (approximately 12,800 yen), has not changed significantly; however,however, there are quite a few cases where international shipping costs have increased significantly—such as the estimated $58 (approximately 9,200 yen) for shipments to the U.S. rising to a final total of 31,400 yen—so there are some voices of dissatisfaction in the comments section regarding this announcement.
Payment for these shipping fees and customs duties will be accepted starting October 23, with a deadline of November 11.
"Shin Megami Tensei: THE BOARD GAME" is scheduled to begin shipping to Kickstarter backers sequentially starting December 18.
