A mod called “Cat Carry,” which lets you hold cats in your arms in *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition* (hereinafter referred to as *Skyrim SE*), has been released on Nexus Mods.
A must-have for cat lovers? Hold a fluffy cat that’ll keep you warm

“Cat Carry” is a mod that lets you move around while holding a cat in your arms, similar to the open-world action-adventure game *Red Desert*.It requires the separate mod “House Cats,” which adds cats roaming villages and cities throughout Skyrim; once “Cat Carry” is installed, you’ll be able to interact with these cats. You can even enter buildings and take them with you wherever you go while holding them.

You can also carry the chickens that exist in the game by default under your arm, and as requests come in via the mod page comments, compatibility with additional animal-related mods is being added.

However, when I tested it with only the absolute minimum number of mods installed, I encountered some issues, such as the hand position shifting or, when fast-traveling, occasionally ending up holding “nothing” in my arms.

Regarding the former issue, it’s said that you can adjust hand positions and cat size using the “SKSE Menu Framework” mod—which displays the options menu for compatible mods—but in my setup, the adjustments didn’t take effect properly. If you’re experiencing a similar issue, combining this mod with a character body type modification mod or various character creation expansion mods might help resolve the problem.
“Cat Carry” is available on Nexus Mods for *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition*. Please check the prerequisite mods and install at your own risk.
