Michał Nowakowski, co-CEO of CD PROJEKT RED, spoke with the international media outlet Biznes PAP about the live-action film adaptation of *Cyberpunk 2077*.
The live-action *Cyberpunk 2077* movie will not be “exactly the same as the game”
It has been reported that Paramount Pictures is currently developing a live-action film adaptation of *Cyberpunk 2077*. Michał Nowakowski also acknowledged the reports in a post on his X account.
Recently, the international media outlet Biznes PAP conducted an interview with Michał Nowakowski. According to the report, he stated that—as far as he can disclose at this time—“we do not intend to adapt the game exactly as it is,” and “while we want to tell a story set in the Cyberpunk universe, it will not be a one-to-one adaptation of the game.”

Will the film follow the stories of “V” and “Johnny Silverhand” as in the game but with significant adaptations for the big screen? Or will it feature entirely different characters, like the upcoming second season of the anime series “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners”? We’ll have to wait for further updates to find out.
Details such as the release date for the live-action film adaptation of “Cyberpunk 2077” remain unknown.
