Alliance Arts has announced that it will cancel the public release of the demo version of *PUKEY GODDESS SHOT TRICK*, scheduled for release on December 8, and instead hold a limited-participation online preview event.
This title is a Russian roulette drinking survival game developed by the team behind *Yun Yun Denpa Syndrome*.Set in the hellish bar “Pandemonium,” players face off against “Fam Sour,” an alcohol demon who loves you so much she wants to kill you, in a game of Russian roulette where they repeatedly choose one shot glass from a selection with varying alcohol contents to toast. The goal is to get the demon so drunk she vomits up your soul.
Although it was previously announced that the game’s release would be confirmed during the “Triple-i Initiative Showcase” airing on October 9 at 1:00 AM, and that a demo would be available during the Steam Next Fest starting October 19, it has now been announced that these plans have been changed to an online trial event.
Policy Shift Due to Concerns Over Operational Structure and AI Imitation
Regarding this change, the development team stated that while they had originally planned to release the demo to the public with certain restrictions on posting and streaming gameplay videos, they determined that it would be difficult to respond appropriately and manage the situation effectively under their current operational structure.Another factor cited is concern over AI-generated imitations: the team fears that, based on the content of the beta version, works that mimic or reproduce the game’s visuals and gameplay using AI or other technologies could be released ahead of the game’s official launch.
Closed Trial Event via Lottery to Be Held
However, in an effort to ensure players have the opportunity to actually play the game before its release, the developers have decided to hold an online trial session in a closed environment for participants who have reviewed and agreed to the participation requirements and rules regarding the posting and streaming of gameplay videos in advance.
The application form for the online trial event is available on the official Discord server. Those wishing to participate must join the official Discord server and apply via the form; participants will be selected by lottery from among the applicants.
During the trial event, the team plans to solicit impressions and feedback on the official Discord server. Detailed instructions regarding registration and how to join the event will also be provided on the official Discord server.
