Yuji Horii shared his gameplay results from the browser game “1 in 8 Billion,” operated by Jin’s Earth, on X.
The Real-World Life Sim Everyone’s Talking About
This browser game was developed independently by Jin Hwi-eus using AI. Set in a world recreated based on statistical data published by organizations such as the United Nations, the World Bank, and the WHO, players can experience life as a person born in a random location.
Players cannot choose where they are born or whose child they will be; instead, their options vary based on the actual conditions of their birth region. While players control their lives by deciding what to prioritize and which paths to take, they also face the reality that it is extremely difficult to completely break free from the statistical constraints of their birthplace.

Released on October 5, the game has garnered attention in Japan, particularly on social media. Yuji Horii, known for titles like *Dragon Quest*, appears to have played the game as well and shared his results on his X account.
Mr. Horii’s avatar was born into a struggling family in a rural village in Tajikistan. He worked as a Chief Specialist in General Affairs and apparently passed away at the age of 92. Commenting on this result, Mr. Horii said, “He lived quite a long life.”
“1 in 8 Billion” is currently available on the official website.
