On October 16, Game Freak announced once again on its official X account that the frequent update cycle for the ARPG *Beast of Reincarnation*, which has continued since the game’s release, will come to a temporary conclusion with the next update scheduled for around October 20.
Frequent Updates to Come to a Temporary Halt with the Next Release Scheduled for Around October 20
This title is a new ARPG from Game Freak, known for the *Pokémon* series.
Since its launch, user reviews on Steam have been “mixed,” and improvements have been made through patches. Perhaps as a result, recent reviews have improved to “somewhat positive.”
The end of the update cycle was already hinted at in the notes at the end of patch v1.1.01, released on October 10, but this post serves as a formal announcement. Please note that the actual schedule is subject to change. Even after the update cycle ends, the support team will continue to accept feedback.
A new option to “Rush to the Capital” appears, allowing players to skip the three mid-game zones altogether
In the latest v1.1.01 update, after clearing the Terraced Fields area in front of the Giant Wall in the mid-game, players can now choose whether to proceed without clearing the three areas—the Pilgrimage Area, Matsukawa Colony Area, and Fuji Frontline Area—all at once, or to clear them in the traditional manner. This is convenient if you want to focus on the story and head to the Capital quickly, or if you want to speed through a New Game+ run.
However, if you choose “Rush to the Capital,” you will not be able to earn the achievements obtainable in those three areas when starting a NEW GAME. You can still earn them by using a save file from before the branching point or by selecting “Travel the Mountain Route” in NEW GAME+.

Additionally, in the PC version, a field of view (FOV) adjustment option has been added to the settings menu. Across all platforms, a toggle to enable or disable event and cutscene skipping has also been added to the settings menu.
Adjustments to the pacing of dialogue and cutscenes have also continued, and issues such as subtitles remaining on screen after skipping and unnatural character positions or camera angles have been fixed.
The option to proceed further without completing the three mid-game zones in sequence—which was not mentioned in the previous patch release—and adjustments to the drowning detection system have been implemented in this patch.
The contents of the patch notes (v1.1.01) are as follows.
After clearing the Terraced Fields area in front of the Giant Wall in the middle of the game, you can now choose whether to proceed without clearing the three areas—the Pilgrimage Area, the Matsukawa Colony Area, and the Fuji Frontline Area—all at once, or to clear them in the traditional manner.
This allows you to focus on the story and reach the capital more quickly, or to progress through the game more swiftly during repeat playthroughs.
*If you select “Rush to the Capital,” you will not be able to earn the achievements available in the Pilgrimage Area, Matsukawa Colony Area, and Fuji Frontline Area when starting a NEW GAME. However, you can still earn these achievements by using a save file from before the branching point or by selecting “Travel the Mountain Route” when starting a NEW GAME+.Added a “Field of View (FOV)” adjustment option to the settings menu.
