On October 16, ClearReve announced that it will release the occult horror visual novel *Resequence: The Orchard* on November 20, 2026.The company also confirmed its participation in the “Steam Next Fest: October 2026 Edition” and its exhibition at “Digikei Expo 2026.”
Delving into the students’ “past” and supernatural phenomena through counseling
This game is an ensemble-style occult horror adventure that depicts the terror of supernatural phenomena gradually eroding everyday life. The visuals are by illustrator fracoco, known for his unsettling artwork, while the scenario is written by Re,AER, the writer behind *Magical Girl: The Witch’s Trial*.
The protagonist, Raikichi Saito, is a psychiatrist who has lost the will to live, unable to forget his missing wife. Encouraged by his colleague Ashlin and high school student Shoko Honda, he begins working as a school counselor—only to discover that every student who visits him is plagued by mysterious phenomena.
As Saito, the player must draw out the events the students have experienced and the “past” they carry, gradually drawing closer to the supernatural entities “lurking” beyond their medical records—and to the truth behind his wife’s disappearance.
The game is a visual novel that progresses via mouse clicks and choice-based interactions. The story branches based on your choices, and multiple endings are available.
A demo version of this title is currently available on Steam. It includes the opening sections of the main story: “Record of Circumstances Leading to the Commencement of Counseling Services” by Raikichi Saito and “Counseling: Session 1” with student Sogo Bon, with an estimated playtime of approximately one hour.
Participating in Steam Next Fest and DigiGame Expo 2026
This title will participate in the “Steam Next Fest: October 2026 Edition,” which will be held from 2:00 AM on October 20 to 2:00 AM on October 27 (Japan Standard Time).
Additionally, it will be exhibited at “Digikei Expo 2026,” a doujin and indie game exhibition and distribution event to be held at Akihabara UDX from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, November 8, 2026.This marks the game’s first appearance at a live event; our booth will be located at C-05b in Akiba Square on the 2nd floor of UDX.
At the venue, visitors will be able to try out the demo version, and we plan to distribute special bonuses; details will be announced at a later date.
