On October 16, Kojima Productions released details regarding the exhibition “KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: A Journey of Creation and Challenge,” held to commemorate the company’s 10th anniversary.

To be held at Azabudai Hills Gallery starting October 31

This exhibition—the company’s largest to date—traces the 10 years of creativity and challenges since Kojima Productions’ founding through previously unseen production materials and interactive exhibits.

Regarding one of the exhibits—the very earliest prototype of the original *DEATH STRANDING*—Director Kojima also mentioned it in “Kojima 10: Hideo Kojima’s ‘Let’s Make This the Best 10 O’Clock Ever,’” which was released on October 5, which was released on October 5. He recalled that it was created by a team of five or six people at a time when they didn’t even have a production engine yet, and that he himself felt it was “tough…” at the time. Footage of the prototype—which staff members described as “chilling”—will be unveiled for the first time at this exhibition.

Additionally, an exhibition showcasing the production process of the original *DEATH STRANDING* will feature original design sketches by Art Director Yoji Shinkawa, materials bearing Director Kojima’s handwritten revisions, and props used in trailer production. Behind-the-scenes stories from the development process will also be revealed through interviews with the production team.

Furthermore, the *DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH* exhibit will reportedly feature early ending concepts from the production’s initial stages, as well as footage from location scouting trips conducted in various countries. It will also showcase the visual style and in-game systems that have evolved since the previous title, along with behind-the-scenes stories from the current development process.

From the new horror game *OD*, currently in development, the “red door” featured in the *OD - KNOCK* teaser video will be recreated. Visitors will be able to experience the scene seen in the video where, as the door is knocked on, a card falls through the crack.

In addition, an installation projecting a 360° video of *DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH* will be set up in the center of the venue, and a life-size “10th Anniversary Ludens” will greet visitors at the entrance.

“KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS 10th ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION BEYOND THE STRAND: A Journey of Creation and Challenge” is scheduled to be held at the Azabudai Hills Gallery in Tokyo from October 31 to December 20, 2026.

Regular advance tickets are 2,600 yen, and same-day tickets are 2,800 yen (both prices include tax).
