"DREADMOOR," a horror fishing adventure set in a decaying, post-apocalyptic world, will launch in Early Access on November 9 with Japanese language support.

Cyprus-based publisher Digital Vortex Entertainment has announced that early access for *DREADMOOR*, developed by Kyrgyz developer Dream Dock, will begin on November 9, 2026.

Early Access to Begin on November 9, 2026, with Japanese Language Support

At the time of its announcement in April 2025, the developer had already released a Japanese-language trailer in addition to the English version. Early Access—a process where the game is released while still in development to gather player feedback and refine the game—has now been scheduled for November 9 (local time), and the promotional trailer mentioned above has been released.

The game’s features and Early Access details are as follows.

"DREADMOOR" Specifications and Features

  • Genre: A single-player, first-person fishing-themed adventure

  • Setting: A post-apocalyptic world believed to have been submerged by a past cataclysm, where mutation and decay caused by a plague known as “Seabright” are spreading

  • Objective: As Malcolm—who is beginning to show early signs of mutation himself—the player must survive by turning the eerie fish they catch into funds and resources, while battling mutated hostile creatures and unraveling the mysteries hidden within the world

  • Features crafting elements such as gathering resources (including non-fish items) and upgrading fishing gear and boats

  • The game employs a grid-based inventory system where the size of the fish you catch directly affects how much you can carry back

About Early Access

  • Duration: Expected to last between six months and one year

  • Initial Game State:
The core gameplay is fully implemented, including one main area, a story, and a diverse range of mutated fish species. Players can continue to enjoy exploration, fishing, and upgrades even after completing the story.

  • Price: The game will be sold at a discounted price during Early Access, with a price increase planned after the official release
