Bohemia Interactive has released "Badlands," an expansion DLC for the zombie survival game *DayZ*.
The Environment Itself Poses a Threat to Life
This expansion introduces “Nasdara,” a new map spanning 267 square kilometers—the largest to date. This vast landscape, scarred by conflict between global superpowers, is dotted with the remnants of the oil industry, major highways, border checkpoints, and the ruins of settlements scattered across the arid countryside.
To survive in Nasudara, it’s not enough to simply search for food or avoid infected players; new threats such as extreme heat, drought, and sandstorms await, forcing players to fundamentally rethink their means of transportation and preparation.Water is not only essential for hydration but also for lowering body temperature and protecting oneself in this harsh environment, making it a more vital resource than ever before.
