On October 15, 2026, Hound13 released version 1.1.0 of “Dragon Sword: Awakening,” the open-world action RPG it develops and publishes.
Numerous fixes, including the addition of a new hero, a new difficulty level, and numerous balance adjustments

This game is an open-world action RPG rendered in an anime-style art style. Players can form a party of three and enjoy exhilarating action—chaining combos while switching between characters to take down enemies—as well as exploring a vast world.
With the Version 1.1.0 update, the new hero “Riza” is now available. She becomes a usable party member as a reward for completing the adventure quest [53. Reunion] (if you have already cleared this quest, she joins your party automatically). Please note that, as announced in a Steam news post, as of October 15, if you complete the relevant quest and recruit her, you will be unable to level her up unless you return to the main menu or exit the game once.

As for new features, a new difficulty level called “Hell,” which exceeds the “Nightmare” difficulty, has been added to boss-defeat missions across various regions. Additionally, score ranks are now assigned to each boss-defeat mission, and a system has been added where players can earn rewards by achieving high scores through quick defeats, perfect dodges, and the number of status ailments inflicted.

Furthermore, enemy critical resistance has been removed, and allies’ critical hit rates now reflect their base values exactly. Powerful “ignore defense” attributes and other attribute values have also been adjusted, with balance changes implemented to make each attribute more significant.

Other changes include the addition of new types of pins that can be placed on the map, the addition of a training ground where players can measure their DPS, and various fine-tuning adjustments to individual characters. For details on the changes, please refer to the official update notes.

The “Oath and Melody Set” costume DLC has also been released as paid content. This DLC adds new outfits and weapon skins for the heroes Othello, Reina, and Eileen, respectively. If you’re particularly fond of any of these characters, you might want to consider purchasing this DLC.
"Dragon Sword: Awakening" is currently available on PC (Steam) for 3,480 yen.
