The social game “Night Shift Ward Online -New Operation-” has been suddenly announced, and pre-registration is now open on the official website (Warning: Adult Content on Linked Page). Along with the start of pre-registration, the official website has also announced a campaign offering DMM Points.
A New “Special Ward Project” Begins
This title is a card battle RPG social game based on the adult-oriented game “Night Shift Ward.”The original “Night Shift Ward” was released by Mink in 1999. It depicted a dark story set in a hospital, centered on Ryuji Hirasaka—a genius doctor who showed interest in nothing but humiliating and toying with women (the game later spawned a series).
The protagonist of this new social game is someone who has come to idolize Ryuji Hirasaka. The protagonist claims to have witnessed numerous women falling victim to Hirasaka’s actions, and became obsessed with it, viewing it as “noble human anatomy research.”
Time passes, and more than a decade later, the protagonist is scouted by St. Lupinus General Hospital—and the person who sent the offer is none other than Hirasaka himself. Hirasaka enlists the protagonist’s help to create a “Special Ward.” And so, the “Special Ward Project” begins… that’s the basic plot.
The key visual for the new social game *Night Shift Ward Online -New Operation-* features four female characters, presented in an art style that feels modern yet evokes the spirit of the 1990s.
From left to right, the key visual features Yu Yagami, Koi Nanase, Ako Fujisawa, and Kokoro Amamiya. Each appears to be a character from the original series or *Night Shift Ward Zero*, and true to the nature of a social game, the entire roster of characters from past installments makes an appearance.
The game features simple card battles and a system where players can roam the hospital. Winning battles advances the story.
Additionally, the official website features Narumi Jinguji, Sakiyuki Tezuka, and Hiyori Kisaragi.
Incidentally, in 2024, a remake titled *Night Shift Ward Remake* was released under EXNOA’s FG REMAKE label. The label has also announced *Last Work Remake*, scheduled for release on December 25 as its latest title.
It appears this isn’t the first time *Night Shift Ward* has been adapted into a social game. In 2013, a social game version distributed on the adult social platform “Moegame” was adapted into a visual novel (gamebiz).
The card battle RPG *Night Shift Ward Online -New Operation-* is scheduled for release as a free-to-play title on FANZA GAMES (PC browser, smartphone browser, and Android via GAMES STORE). Pre-registration is currently open on the official website.
