Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it will release the first part of the major “Spec IV” update for the PS5/PS4 real-driving simulator *Gran Turismo 7* starting at 3:00 PM on October 15, 2026.
This update will feature a revamped opening cinematic, the addition of six new cars and the new “Sportsland SUGO” circuit, as well as significant expansions to various gameplay features.In addition, the release of the limited-edition “DualSense Wireless Controller ‘Gran Turismo’ Limited Edition,” commemorating the series’ 30th anniversary, has been announced.
“Sportsland SUGO” and Six Diverse New Cars Included
The technical circuit “Sportsland SUGO,” located in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan, has been added as a new track.Characterized by a three-dimensional layout with plenty of ups and downs, the track features a steep gradient of up to 10% from the final corner to the home straight, as well as a straight stretch exceeding 700 meters and complex corners, offering a course design that allows players to experience both high-speed sections and technical challenges.

New Brand Central features such as “Vintage” and “Car Concierge”
Several new system features designed to enhance your car-owning experience have also been introduced.
A new “Vintage” section has been added to Brand Central, where players can view cars from before the year 2000.From within “Vintage,” players will be able to access dealerships selling legendary cars and used cars directly. Furthermore, for players who have reached the game’s ending, the “Car Concierge” feature will be introduced, allowing them to specify their desired make, model, color, and condition to have the system search for their ideal vehicle. Players can submit requests for up to four vehicles simultaneously, depending on their Collector Level.
Additionally, “Experience” has been added, allowing players to test-drive specific brands and challenge their records. The first installment of “Spec IV” supports four brands: Xiaomi, Yangwang, Hyundai, and Polestar.
Numerous new features, including a garage viewing mode and capacity expansion
The Garage now features “View Car,” which lets you admire the car you’re currently driving from any angle. You can change the background, adjust the front wheel steering angle, set the headlights, and take simple photos. Furthermore, the Collector Level cap has been raised from 70 to 90.
In addition, three new items—“High-Performance EV,” “Tuned GT-R,” and “Le Mans Winner”—have been added to the Café’s Extra Menu, and a total of six new events, including a race set at “Sportsland SUGO,” have been introduced to the World Circuit.“Sportsland SUGO” and “Angels Crest Highway” will also be added to the Scapes feature.
A limited-edition DualSense controller commemorating the 30th anniversary will also be released
The “DualSense Wireless Controller ‘Gran Turismo’ Limited Edition,” a limited-edition product commemorating the 30th anniversary of the “Gran Turismo” series, will go on sale on December 10, 2026.The suggested retail price is 12,480 yen, and pre-orders are scheduled to begin sequentially at PlayStation retailers nationwide starting at 10:00 a.m. on October 22, 2026.
“Gran Turismo 7” is currently available for PS5 and PS4.
