The North American rating organization "ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board)" has published rating information for the PlayStation 5 version of the cooperative climbing game *PEAK*.
Is it okay for a game featuring cannibalism to be rated for ages 10 and up? The PS5 version reveals all

*PEAK* is a cooperative mountaineering game for up to four players, co-developed by Aggro Crab and Landfall. Despite its cute character designs, the game offers a survival experience where even the slightest mistake can be fatal; as of this writing, its overall Steam review score is “Very Positive.”
In August 2026, the game received its final major update titled “THE FINAL ASCENT,” and at that time, the developers announced they would focus on developing a console version with cross-platform support. Now, rating information for the PS5 version—which is likely that “console version”—has been revealed on the official ESRB website.

The rating classifies the game as suitable for ages 10 and up (E10+). It has been determined to include not only “Users Interact” (allowing players to interact with one another) but also “Fantasy Violence”—depictions of violence that are easily distinguishable from reality and involve human or non-human characters.
Looking at the details, it appears that—just like the PC version—the game features players cooperating to climb a mountain, gathering tools and items to help one another, while facing obstacles such as spiders and zombies. It also includes a “cannibalism” element where, if players become too hungry, their teammates start to look like roast chicken. It is also noted that eating them causes anime-style bones to appear.
