"Starfield," an open-world space RPG published by Bethesda Softworks, is currently the talk of the town because a mod is in development that will allow players to land seamlessly on planets and moons without any loading screens.
You can also enjoy the scenery outside while letting the autopilot take over
Frederik Wessberg is currently developing this mod. He explained that the impetus for the project came from observing existing mods—such as “Seamless Grab Jump” and “Seamless Planet Takeoff”—as well as the game’s officially implemented Cruise Mode. He noted that it struck him as odd that landing on planets was the only activity that couldn’t be performed without a loading screen.

As you can see in the video, the landing sequence is handled entirely by autopilot, allowing players to leave their cockpit seats and freely walk around the ship or enjoy the view outside while the ship flies from orbit to the surface.

It also appears that landing on water (oceans) is possible. Regarding this, the developer states, “If you’ve ever wondered in vanilla Starfield, ‘What would happen if I could choose a spot on the ocean?’ this is your chance to see it with your own eyes.”
On the way down to the surface, the game features a sequence where the ship passes through realistic 3D cumulus clouds that interact with climate data and the weather system. Furthermore, the game includes thunderstorms and lightning, auroras appearing in polar regions, atmospheric glow floating on the nightside horizon, physically based atmospheric scattering based on actual data provided by the game, lights shining from POIs (Points of Interest) on the surface, planet-scale terrain and cloud shadows, as well as biomes, oceans, and snow-capped peaks constructed from game data and surface maps.
Furthermore, the mod reportedly implements effects such as the heat shield effect during atmospheric re-entry—which correctly sprays steam onto the ship’s hull and leaves a layer of ash—newly detailed live cockpit monitors, and a wealth of new ship HUD elements.

The PC version of “Starfield” mod “Seamless Landings without loading screens,” crafted with great attention to detail, is currently in development. Please note that installing this mod is at your own risk.
