At the “M2 Shot Triggers 10th Anniversary Thank You Festival ~Let’s Jailbreak Together!!~” held on October 10, 2026, M2 announced its new arcade title, *M2 Shot Triggers ARCADE*.
M2, the master of revivals, is expanding into the arcade market!
This title is a launcher software compatible with Sega’s arcade game platform, “ALL.Net P-ras MULTI Version 3 (APM3).”It allows players to enjoy titles from M2’s shooting game brand, “M2ShotTriggers,” at arcades, and *Ultimate Tiger* by Toa Plan has been announced as the first release.
This arcade version reportedly consists of two courses, each with five stages, divided into two routes: stages 1–5 and 6–10.
"M2ShotTriggers" is a brand that incorporates various unique features in addition to faithful remakes of historic shooting games, such as "M2 Gadgets" to assist players in clearing stages, and a "SUPER EASY" mode designed for beginners that includes player ship enhancements, auto-bombs, reduced enemy attacks, and adjustable difficulty levels.
Developed by Toa Plan in 1987, *Ultimate Tiger* is a vertical-scrolling shooter in which you pilot a combat helicopter to destroy enemies.As the sequel to *Tiger Helicopter*, released in 1985, it features four types of shots with varying ranges and performance, as well as a powerful bomber capable of wiping out large groups of enemies. Known as a masterpiece that had a major influence on later vertical-scrolling shooters—thanks to its meticulous enemy placement and challenging difficulty—it remains a classic.In 2021, M2 re-released the game as *Ultimate Tiger Helicopter -TOAPLAN ARCADE GARAGE-* for the Nintendo Switch and PS4.
“Ultimate Tiger,” the first title in the “M2ShotTriggers ARCADE” series, will go live at APM3 locations nationwide starting October 15. We look forward to future announcements regarding the lineup of titles to be released following this first installment.
