French streamer j0nathan, who posted a gameplay video of Saber Interactive’s horror survival action game *Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival* on YouTube, has expressed his dissatisfaction to international media outlets such as IGN regarding the suspension of his channel for featuring “explicit content intended to provide sexual gratification.”
The “Overwhelmingly Well-Received” Horror Survival Game “Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival”
This horror survival action game, based on the “Hellraiser” film series, was released on October 8 for Windows (Steam) and the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 in international markets. As of this writing (October 10), the game has received “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, with 95% of 1,720 reviews recommending it.
In this game, you play as the protagonist Aidan and explore the otherworldly hell known as the “Labyrinth” in first-person perspective to rescue your girlfriend. However, it contains elements such as violence, gore, torture, consensual dismemberment, sex with implied consent, and BDSM, and is described as “adult content” on the store page.

Streamer Whose Channel Was Deleted
IGN reported that j0nathan, who posted a gameplay commentary video of this title on YouTube, had his channel suspended for featuring “explicit content intended to provide sexual gratification.”
He believes the cause was the sex scene between the protagonist and his girlfriend at the beginning of the game. However, he stated that he had self-censored the video by editing out the explicit parts before uploading it. He also explained that, aside from that scene, the game played like a standard horror title such as *Resident Evil*, so he didn’t think an age restriction was necessary and hadn’t set one.
Furthermore, since the deleted channel had 190,000 subscribers, he expressed his disappointment, stating that “10 years of effort have gone down the drain, and I’ve lost my main source of income.”
He has also expressed his dissatisfaction with this matter on his X account, posting images of his self-censored streams alongside those of other streamers that remain unregulated and are still publicly available (Warning: Adult content in linked images).
Claiming that YouTube’s actions “appear to be handled entirely by AI,” he reported on X on October 10 that he had made direct inquiries but received no response.
Saber Interactive urges creators to apply appropriate age restrictions and labels to their streams and videos and to make use of other necessary platform tools.
