Further refinements

Set in Japan during the Boshin War, this story-driven turn-based RPG unfolds in a world where magic and machinery converge.Assemble a team of unique characters and take on yokai and steampunk-style mechanical enemies. Forge your own path through an immersive story and change the fate of the empire.

The development team states that this delay will allow them to address remaining issues and polish the game to a level of quality befitting the title. They plan to refine the tactical elements of combat and make fine-tuning adjustments to combat balance.

Their top priority is ensuring that elements such as positioning, initiative, and ability selection play a crucial role in every battle, and to provide a combat experience where careful planning pays off and players can make meaningful decisions.

They are also focusing on improving the progression system to make party growth more engaging. Their goal is to provide players with more incentives to experiment with various skills and flexibly adapt their tactics to the challenges they face.

*Shadow of the Road* is scheduled for release on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and the Epic Games Store. Although the release has been delayed, the developers plan to continue rolling out new trailers and information about the game’s world setting.
