It's a peaceful rural area, but could there be some kind of terrifying secret lurking here...?

"Truckful," a physics-based delivery adventure set in a mysterious rural town. Make sure to deliver your precious cargo safely! It’s not just about driving safely—sometimes you’ll have to race down unpaved roads. [Gameplay Report]

Pocketpair Publishing is set to release "Truckful," a delivery adventure game developed by Poland-based MythicOwl, for PC (Steam) and Android on October 10, 2026.

In this game, players take on the role of a pickup truck driver making deliveries in a mysterious rural town. Set in the outskirts of this region—which features diverse locations such as residential neighborhoods, swamps, and peaceful pastures—there is an ancient forest that strikes fear into anyone who approaches it, and uncovering its legends and solving its mysteries is a major objective of the game.

By upgrading the pickup truck’s parts, players can carry more cargo and navigate rough terrain. Since cargo may fall off during delivery due to physics-based simulation, it’s important to stack it securely without gaps and to drive safely.

In this article, we bring you an early hands-on report on *Truckful*. Gameplay and screenshots were captured using the PC (Steam) version provided by the developer.

A Peaceful Country Town Full of Secrets

The story of *Truckful* begins with the protagonist arriving in the rural setting in a beat-up pickup truck. You start by learning how to control the truck in the tutorial, and after driving a short distance, you encounter Rutti, a female delivery driver whose car has broken down. You end up giving her a ride to the forest where her car is parked.

However, since the protagonist’s truck is broken and the doors won’t open, Rutti has to ride in the bed. In the game, you can adjust the position and placement of cargo when loading it, and you’ll need to figure out how to arrange it so it doesn’t fall off. Since the first cargo is just Rutti herself, place her toward the back and head for the forest.

Delivery missions include objectives such as delivering within a specified time or distance, or transporting cargo without damaging it, and rewards are available for completing them. Although you successfully delivered Rutti to the forest, the delivery truck is completely broken down, so the protagonist ends up delivering the cargo instead. According to Rutti, the forest hates humans and tends to break their cars.

While driving through the eerie forest, some creepy music starts playing, and suddenly a massive truck crashes into you from behind! The unexpected impact caused you to drop all your packages, but they seem to have survived unscathed. You can retrieve the dropped packages by approaching them, but be careful—dropping them too many times may break them.

Despite their terrifying ordeal, the protagonist and Rutti manage to make it out of the forest. As they encounter strange inhabitants and the owner of a workshop who can modify their truck, they’re set to begin their delivery business in town in earnest.

Modify your truck and get ready for deliveries!

In this game, the main quest involves accepting delivery jobs from townspeople and Rutti to advance the story. As you progress through the story, you’ll gain access to new areas and eventually uncover the secrets hidden within the town.

However, the protagonist’s clunker truck might not be able to carry all the cargo or handle terrain like steep slopes, which could prevent you from completing your objectives. That’s where customization comes in. By purchasing and installing upgrades for the engine, brakes, and other components, you can boost the truck’s base stats.

Modifying the cargo bed is particularly important. The cargo beds available for purchase include not only those with simply higher load capacities but also ones equipped with tarps to prevent cargo from falling out. A box-shaped cargo bed that fully encloses the cargo allows you to safely transport small packages. Even “1×2” packages, like the ones from Rutti, will be transported lying flat.Thank you, Rutti.

The pizza box is super safe! But it has a low load capacity.

There are also special parts available, such as a horn to scare away animals blocking the road and a device to temporarily secure packages so they don’t fall out. You can equip up to three special parts, and you’ll need to swap them out depending on the terrain you’re delivering on. Various parts are unlocked as you progress through the story.

Of course, you can also change the color of your truck. You can earn the money needed to buy parts by completing in-game quests, so keep making deliveries and customize your truck as you go.

You can even race through unpaved paths

The rural town where the game is set features a variety of locations, including not only residential areas but also pastures and abandoned railroad tracks. While it’s safest to drive your truck on roads, you can also venture off-road.

Some missions have distance or time goals that are absolutely impossible to achieve by sticking to regular roads, so you’ll have to find shortcuts off the beaten path. Since only major roads are displayed on the map screen, you’ll need to scout them out yourself, but with a well-customized truck, you can navigate relatively anywhere with stability.

In towns where cars haven’t driven for a long time, the roads aren’t well-maintained, so it’s not uncommon to find potholes or roadblocks. This means you’ll need to use various strategies, such as finding side roads or using special parts to get over obstacles. There are also visually obvious objects, like spots where you can jump using nitro.

The main thing to watch out for during deliveries is, of course, the mysterious giant truck that appears in the forest. Fortunately, your truck in this game won’t break from collisions, but if you drop your cargo, it will take damage. Choosing your route—whether to take a dangerous shortcut or a safe detour during a mission—is also crucial.

Also, in this game, map transitions and shrines in various locations serve as checkpoints, allowing you to easily resume from a checkpoint during deliveries. While this is very convenient, be careful—you might sometimes be reset to a state where you haven’t yet achieved your objective.

Plenty of Collectibles and Side Quests

One of the main reasons to explore the map is “scrap collection.” By turning in the scrap you’ve collected at the factory, you can obtain special parts that can’t be purchased with money. As you progress through the game, you’ll be able to buy parts with comparable performance using money, but it’s a good idea to prioritize upgrading parts you’ll want to strengthen early on, such as the engine and cargo bed.

Scrap is scattered throughout the town, so you can collect it while making deliveries. Since you’re free to explore whenever you’re not on a quest, it’s a good idea to map out the area while gathering scrap. Collection items are also hidden in various locations, so you can have fun searching for them.

You can also earn money by accepting side quests from the mailboxes around town. In *Truck Full*, high-end parts generally have no drawbacks—they simply boost your truck’s performance. Upgrading your suspension and tires will help you handle rough terrain more easily, so be sure to replace them if you have the money to spare.

As the story progresses, you’ll eventually venture beyond the forest into even more dangerous areas. Since your primary objective in the game is to deliver cargo, be sure to thoroughly upgrade your truck so you can do your job safely!

*Truckful* offers a variety of elements to enjoy, including physics-based cargo management, driving over rough terrain and around obstacles, and a town’s story shrouded in terrifying mysteries. The main delivery missions also feature puzzle-like challenges—such as figuring out which cargo to load and how to stack it safely—making the game thoroughly rewarding overall.

Sudden braking and sharp turns are obviously dangerous, but sometimes you’ll need to take risks to get through. The game’s challenges are skillfully integrated into the gameplay as “objectives,” and exploring the map offers a sense of collection—so simply driving around is a major part of the fun.

However, this early access build did contain some missing translations. The story holds terrifying mysteries, so it’s a shame that some words and phrases were a bit hard to understand. I also felt that restarting from checkpoints—where the truck’s position is fixed—sometimes made the game more difficult.

“Truckful” is scheduled for release on October 10, 2026, for PC (Steam) and Android.
