[Free] Your Crush Becomes a Giantess!? “Ms. Ōhayakawa Is a Souls-Like” Sequel Out Now—Parries, Light Attacks Clear Conversations

Independent developer Hokuto released the free short romance visual novel *Ms. Hayakawa Is a Souls-Like Game* for PC and mobile today, October 8.

Souls-like Romantic Tactics

This short romance adventure game incorporates *Souls-like* elements, where the protagonist navigates conversations with the girl he has a crush on using four commands: “Weak Attack,” “Strong Attack,” “Parry,” and “Roll.”

It serves as the final chapter of a three-part series, following *Ms. Kobayakawa Is Soul-Like* (released in August 2026) and *Ms. Kobayakawa Is Soul-Like 5* (released in September of the same year). In this installment, Ms. Kobayakawa—who had multiplied into five characters in the previous game—has now transformed into a giant woman…In this installment, the key to success lies in “unbalancing her core” during your interactions with her.

During conversations, you’ll analyze her desires by “parrying” questions she asks—such as “Where should we go for fun?”—and then align them with the protagonist’s thoughts. You’ll consolidate this information into the “DUAL-LINK SYSTEM” to find clues that help advance the dialogue.

The way conversations progress has also changed in this title. Unlike previous games, where you’d have to repeatedly retry after making a wrong choice, the conversation itself now changes based on the commands you select. A warning will appear if you enter a dangerous state where Ms. Kobayakawa becomes dissatisfied, so you’ll need to choose your next action based on the exchange up to that point.

As you find a breakthrough in the conversation in this way, the “STAGGER” gauge—which indicates Ms. Kobayakawa’s core stability—rises. Once it’s fully charged, you can execute an “OVERDRIVE IMPACT” to settle the matter.

It’s worth noting that in this series, the first installment generated significant buzz both domestically and internationally, featuring in live commentary streams, broadcasts, and coverage by overseas gaming media. There was even an anecdote where a translator, after watching a live stream by an overseas YouTuber, approached Hokuto with an offer to localize the game, which led to the release of the Spanish version.

"Ms. Kobayakawa is a Souls-like" is currently available for free on PC and mobile browsers (PLiCy) as well as on PC (BOOTH/itch.io). The playtime is approximately 15 minutes, and it’s said to be enjoyable even if you haven’t played the first two titles.
